Tourist Visa Information for your travel in Nepal. Be sure to carry a valid passport to get the visa of Nepal. You should hold a passport with a valid date of 6 months for your travel in Nepal.

a. Entry

Tourists can get an entry visa upon arrival at the airport or on the border. One can also apply to Nepal Embassy/ Consulate or Mission offices abroad. Some of the places where you can get the visa.

Tourist Visa Extension for Nepal

Tourists can also apply for visa extension for a longer stay in Nepal.

  • Visa extension fee for 15 days or less is the US $ 30
  • Visa extension fee for more than 15 days is US$ 2 per day

One can extend the tourist visa for a period of 150 days in a single visa year (January – December).

Gratis (Free) Visa for Nepal

Gratis visa for 30 days is available only for tourists of SAARC countries. Indian nationals do not need a visa to enter into Nepal.

Transit Visa  in Nepal

One can apply for a Transit visa for a one-day entry in Nepal’s immigration offices. If applying form TIA airport one needs to show departure flight tickets from Nepal. One is to pay the US $ 5 or in convertible currency.
