Trip Overview

Island Peak Climbing – We follow the classic Everest approach through the Solu Khumbu. Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar is veering off the trail to Everest base camp. We will enter the magnificent Gokyo valleys, a land of high altitude lakes and icy glaciers. after crossing Chhukuma La at 6183m. (except going to Gokyo valley and Chhukuma La Pass we proceed towards Everest base camp as well) we go towards the Khumbu glacier en route to Everest base camp 17,575ft and you can enjoy spectacular panorama from Kala Patthar at 18,192ft (5,545m.). Our route descends to Dignboche and goes to Chhukung valley and Island (Imja Tse) Base camp.

We attempt the summit 20,305ft after one night at the high camp perched on the South West Ridge. Magnificent vistas of the Khumbu can be seen. On the way of it while descending to base came, you can take the picture of Chhukung valleys’ landscape Island Peak is very easy and common so most of visitor from the world are willing to go there. we can vistas of Himalayas of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu Mt. Lhote (over 8,000m) and many other mountains. The journey came to end at Lukla.

Itinerary

Option No 1 (Package tour)

Day 01 : Transfer to airport & fly to Lukla (2860m) & trek to Phakding (2610m) – Overnight at Lodge
Day 02 : Namche Bazaar (3440m) – O/N at Lodge
Day 03 : Khumjung (3780m) – Acclimatization – O/N at Lodge
Day 04 : Tengboche (3860m) – O/N at Lodge
Day 05 : Dingboche (4410m) – O/N at Lodge
Day 06 : Rest day at Dingboche – O/N at Lodge
Day 07 : Lobuche – O/N at Lodge
Day 08 : Visit Kala Pattar (5550m) and trek to Lobuche – O/N at Lodge
Day 09 : Chhukung (4730m) – O/N at Lodge
Day 10 : Chhukung Island peak Base Camp (5100m) – O/N Camp
Day 11 : High Camp (5600m) – O/N Camp
Day 12 : Island Peak summit (6160m) – Return to B.C – O/N Camp
Day 13 : Base Camp – Pangboche (3901m) – O/N at Lodge
Day 14 : Namche Bazaar – O/N at Lodge
Day 15 : Lukla -O/N at Lodge
Day 16 : Fly Lukla-Kathmandu & transfer to hotel

Option 02 ( Group Joining basis):
You can do the trekking with yourselves without guide and porters as well. For the climbing of Island you need to take the guide and have to do the camping. There is no teahouse available So you could not do it yourself. We can. Arrange you only the Island peak cliumbing from Chukung to Chukung as given below. If you are climbing the first time we will give the training as well. That will be good for your success of climbing

Day 01: Meet in Chukhung in mid day /Briefing, AMS lecture/Camping
Day 02: Trek to training camp, introduction of crampons and ice climbing/camping
Day 03: Walk to glacier, glacier travel, snow anchors, crevasse rescue training/camping
Day 04: Trek to Island peak base camp/camping
Day 05: Departure base camp at 2 A M/summit/return base camp/chukhung/camping
Day 06: Spare day for bad weather. (Incase of)
