Cho-la Pass trekking Also known as Everest Circuit trek, this is one of the most adventurous treks in the Everest Himalayas. It follows the route via high pass of Cho La at 5330meters into the Base Camp of Mount Everest. A unique trek that goes through Lukla, Namche bazaar and all the way to Gokyo, Chola Pass, Kalapattar and Everest Base Camp. Leading you to the home of the legendary Sherpa people, based at the foothills of the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest at 8848 meters. This trek follows the highly praised trekking route through the Dudh Koshi to its source the Gokyo Lake which is to the west of the Everest Base Camp, giving you the benefit to summit Gokyo Peak (5483 meters) offering a fantastic panoramic view of Cho Oyo, Everest and Makalu.
As we cross the Cho-La pass, and return back to Lukla following the route through Everest Base Camp, Kalapattar down to Tengboche monastery, Khumjung village, Namche Bazar and Lukla. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel.
Enjoy the most scenic 30minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. As you reach Lukla start the Everest Base Camp Trek to Phakding via Chaurikharka and Chheplung. Overnight at Phakding (2640m).
Early in the morning after having breakfast trek to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar (3435m) via joyful village Monju, Banker and Jorasalle. From the trail slightly goes two and half hour uphill to Namche Bazaar through Rhododendron and pine forest. You can see the first glance of Everest Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar and gate way of Everest base camp Trek.
Today you may have rest or hike uphill to the village of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung is the largest village of Khumbu region. After having lunch you will hike back to Namche Bazaar.
Initially walk downhill to reach Thangna village and have tea or coffee. The trail here from here goes directly to Cho La Pass at (5414m). Cross Cho La and walk down hill to Dzongla village. Today might be the difficult day in trekking. Overnight at teahouse.
After having morning breakfast you will start your trek to Lobuche. On the way you can witness Dzongla Lake, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Overnight at teahouse.
Following the rocky moraine path and watching icy glacial pond and icebergs below the Khumbu glacier a short downhill walk after the last rocky moraine dunes bring us to Gorakshep. Gorakshep is located below Kala Patthar (5545m) and Mt Pumori.
Crossing villages, Buddhists monasteries, bridges and some waterfall, today we will trek to Tengboche (3890m). Overnight at Tea house.
First part of the trail directly goes through Rhododendron forest and pine forest to Fungethaga. The trail slightly goes uphill to Namche via Trashinga and Sanasa village. Great view of the Khumbu Himalaya from village of Sanasa
The trail steeply goes down through Rhododendron and Pine forest to Jorsale it will take about two hour and another 5 hour walk to Lukla via Monju, banker, Phakding, Ghats khola, Chaurikharka, Chheplung and arrival in Lukla and overnight at Guest house.
Early morning joyful flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer your Hotel. During the day you will have rest after long journey in the Khumbu Himalaya and Evening fare well dinner with Nepali Family.
These are “cushion” days in case bad weather or other circumstances delay your return to Kathmandu. Otherwise, they can be used for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley or free for shopping days. O/N Hotel
Send off to airport, departure from Kathmandu.
