Gokyo chola pass Kalapatthar Trekking follows the highly praised trekking route through the Dudh Koshi to its source the Gokyo Lake which is to the west of the Everest Base Camp, giving you the benefit to summit Gokyo Peak (5483 meters) offering a fantastic panoramic view of Cho Oyo, Everest and Makalu. Itinerary

Day 1Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel.

Day 2Kathmandu to Lukla Flight and Phakding

Enjoy the most scenic 30minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. As you reach Lukla start the Everest Base Camp Trek to Phakding via Chaurikharka and Chheplung. Overnight at Phakding (2640m).

Day 3Trek to Namche bazaar (3,440m). (5 hours)

Early in the morning after having breakfast trek to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar (3435m) via joyful village Monju, Banker and Jorasalle. From the trail slightly goes two and half hour uphill to Namche Bazaar through Rhododendron and pine forest. You can see the first glance of Everest Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar and gate way of Everest base camp Trek.

Day 4Rest and acclimatization 3,440 m).

Today you may have rest or hike uphill to the village of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung is the largest village of Khumbu region. After having lunch you will hike back to Namche Bazaar.

Day 5 Trek to Dole (4,200m). (4 hours)

Day 06Trek to Machhermo (4,410m). (3-4 hours)

Day 07Trek to Gokyo (Second Lake at 4,750m). (7 hours)

Day 08Rest day for acclimatization or optional climb to Gokyo Ri

Day 09Trek to Chyugima Pass (5,169m).

Day 10Cross Cho La (5,420m). Trek to Dzongla (4,730m).

Initially walk downhill to reach Thangna village and have tea or coffee. The trail here from here goes directly to Cho La Pass at (5414m). Cross Cho La and walk down hill to Dzongla village. Today might be the difficult day in trekking. Overnight at teahouse.

Day 11Trek to Lobuche (4,930m)

After having morning breakfast you will start your trek to Lobuche. On the way you can witness Dzongla Lake, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Overnight at teahouse.

Day 12 : Trek to Gorkshep (5,140m). (5 hours)

Following the rocky moraine path and watching icy glacial pond and icebergs below the Khumbu glacier a short downhill walk after the last rocky moraine dunes bring us to Gorakshep. Gorakshep is located below Kala Patthar (5545m) and Mt Pumori.

Day 13Trek to Kala Patthar (5,545m)- Lobuche (4,930mDay 14: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m). ( 6 hours)

Crossing villages, Buddhists monasteries, bridges and some waterfall, today we will trek to Tengboche (3890m). Overnight at Tea house.

Day 14Trek to Namche (3,440m). (5 hours).

First part of the trail directly goes through Rhododendron forest and pine forest to Fungethaga. The trail slightly goes uphill to Namche via Trashinga and Sanasa village. Great view of the Khumbu Himalaya from village of Sanasa

Day 15Trek to Lukla (2,840m)

The trail steeply goes down through Rhododendron and Pine forest to Jorsale it will take about two hour and another 5 hour walk to Lukla via Monju, banker, Phakding, Ghats khola, Chaurikharka, Chheplung and arrival in Lukla and overnight at Guest house.

Day16Flight from Lukla to- Kathmandu airport transfer to hotel free day or shopping in Kathmandu.

Early morning joyful flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer your Hotel. During the day you will have rest after long journey in the Khumbu Himalaya and Evening fare well dinner with Nepali Family.

Day17Kathamandu

These are “cushion” days in case bad weather or other circumstances delay your return to Kathmandu. Otherwise, they can be used for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley or free for shopping days. O/N Hotel

Day18Departure

Send off to airport, departure from Kathmandu.
