Poonhill and Ghandruk Village treks is short and easy trek of Ghorepani Poonhill trekking destination done for best views available on Annapurna panorama trek. It is also known as the Small Annapurna Circuit trek and offers most dramatic close-up views of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world. During you have multiple views of the splendid Himalayan which includes Mount Dhaulagiri 8167 m, Annapurna I 8091 m, Fishtail 6998 m and many others. Ghorepani poon hill 3210 m is also one of the best view points in Annapurna Region. The best part of this trek is to visit Sunrise from the Poon Hill and Ghandruk Village.
Normally Poonhill and Ghandruk Village treks is a 4 – 5 day hike to the Annapurna mountain range in Nepal. It takes us to the max elevation of 3,210 meters which require a moderate level of fitness to complete.The trek is very suitable for family with child and any age of adventurous lover can enjoy it. This Annapurna Poonhill trek starts from the Nayapul followed by the Birenthanti, Ullery, Ghorepani, Poon hill, Tadapani, Ghandruk and finally to the Nayapul completing one circuit.

Every step offers an exciting glance of the high mountains horizons until we reach the high points of your trek. The viewpoint on Poonhill (3210 m.) while passing through dense rhododendron forests full of birds and imaging valleys make your trip more enjoyable. Mt. Dhaulagiri ranges, Mt. Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Annapurna south, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Barasikhar, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak, Hiunchuli, and Manaslu ranges are seen during the trek.

This absolutely amazing Poonhill and Ghandruk Village treks along with a maze of other peaks, will give you the spectacular views of Himalayas like magic, before our eyes. The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is a great way to hike and be in the mountains while still being able to sleep warm and securely in the tea house and eat freshly cooked meals in the Himalayas.


Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu (1345m.):

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Aiport, you will be received by our airport representative who will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.


Day 2 : Met at you hotel and transfer to the domestic airport for the 25 minute flight to Pokhara.(B,L,D)

Upon arrival you will be met by your Sherpa crew and drive north of Pokhara for approximately 1½ hours to the trek start point at Nayapul. This first day’s trek is a pleasant walk through villages, scattered forest and farmland and takes you to the village of to Tikhedhunga (1577 m.)via Hille (approximately 4 hours). Lodge stay


Day 3:Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,855 m.) (B,L,D) it takes about 6 hours.

Ascend to Ulleri Village through a plesant Rhododendron forest and arrive at the top of Ghorepani pass and overnight at lodge/Inn. Lodge stay


Day 4 :Ghorepani – Poonhill (3232m.) – Ghandrung (1950m.) (B,L,D) it takes about 7 and half hours.

Morning excursion to the Poon Hill( the highest hill in the west in the whole trek ) bird- eye.view of Mustang and Pokhara valleys, also provides clear view of 30 snow-capped peaks including the Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri. After breakfast trek back to Ghandrung.(1922 m.): The trek gradually goes up through the thick forest to Banthanti where the lunch will be served. Then reach Ghandrung after two or three hours walk. Mt. Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhere (Fish Tail) and other snowy mountains can be seen beautifully from here. Lodge stay


Day 5:Ghandrung to Potana (1872m.): (B,L,D) it takes about 6 hours.

Steep descend to Modikhola and cross the bridge and ascend up to Landrung.After trekking we take our lunch at Tolka. Then we should ascend up to Deurali from Tolka.Here we have a gentle descend up to Potana take s about 45 minutes from Deurali. This day we have to walk about six to seven hours.A beautiful eye-catching Mountain View from Potana is unforgettable. Lodge stay


Day 06:Potana to Pokhara (920m.): (B,L).

There is a gentle descend up to Dhampus from Potana takes about one and half-hours. We could have a beautiful Mountain View from Dhampus. There is another about two hours steep descends from Dhampus to Suikhet where we conclude our trek. We drive about one hour from Suikhet to Pokhara and overnight at hotel.


Day 7:FLIGHT BACK TO KATHMAND and overnight at hotel. Rest time free for own activities. Overnight at hotel. (B)

Explore Kathmandu, Valley sightseeing: sightseeing starts about 09:00 A.M. Swoyambhunath Stupa, Museum, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhamnath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Duttatraya Square, Nyatapola, Pottery places and overnight at hotel.
